Congratulations Senior Pastor, Reverend Dr. Twiggy M. Eure!

This is the Lord's doing and it is marvelous in our eyes! The assignment continues, to God be the Glory! After sharing the official notice of vote for four weeks, the vote took place on Sunday, May 10, 2026, where Reverend Dr. Twiggy M. Eure was unanimously affirmed and appointed as Senior Pastor-Elect of The Promise Land Church, East Syracuse, New York. We are ecstatic and ready to pray for, stand with and support her as she runs with the mantle. We are ready to follow the vision, congratulations Pastor Twiggy!

The Pre-Pastoral Installation services took place on Friday, June 26 - 28th with special guest Rev. Lisa Good (Empire Christian Center, Albany, NY), Pastor Dr. Deona E. Benson (University of Life Church, Oxford, MS), and Mayor Sharon Owens (Jericho Faith Ministries, Geneva, NY & City of Syracuse Mayor), and Sydni Eure, Weekend Psalmist.

The Pastoral Installation services took place on Friday, July 23 (Rev. Cordelia Wallace (Agape Church, Baldwin, NY), July 24, Pastor John K. Jenkins Sr. (First Baptist Church of Glenarden, MD), and July 26 (Rev. Deanna Daniel, Oak Grove AME Zion Church, N. Carolina), and Diamari Copeland, Weekend Psalmist.

A special note from The Promise Land Church Elders:

We honor the life and enduring legacy of Pastor Erik B. Eure (August 7, 1969 - March 21, 2026), who 24 years ago founded The Promise Land Church alongside Pastor Dr. Twiggy M. Eure. During the past three years, as Pastor Erik focused on recovery from health challenges and observed a period of sabbatical, Pastor Dr. Twiggy faithfully served in the capacity of interim Senior Pastor.

In addition to her faithful service to the church, Pastor Dr. Twiggy is Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging at Crouse Hospital and has been for 10 years. She is actively involved in the community, serving on various boards and committees. Dr. Twiggy received her associate's degree (Bryant & Stratton College), bachelor's degree (SUNY Oswego), master's degree (Syracuse University), and earned her doctorate from St. John Fisher University in Executive Leadership and was the first in her family on both sides to do so. She is a life-long learner and currently enrolled in the Preaching Institute at Wheaton College Billy Graham Center.

Pastor Dr. Twiggy was faithfully married to Pastor Erik for 32 years before his transition to Heaven. She is the mother of their four adult children, including their precious oldest daughter, Gabrielle "Gabby," who went home to be with the Lord on February 6, 2026, Family Pastor Marquis (wife Nicole), Sydni, and Camryn. She is also the "Nonni" to their grandchildren, Londyn and Greyson.

God has indeed anointed Reverend Dr. Twiggy M. Eure for such a time as this to lead The Promise Land Church and we are wholeheartedly and joyfully ready to welcome and support the vision God has set for the House.
